MUMBAI: India’s first bonafide female superstar Sridevi was born on 13 August 1963. The actress left a huge void last year when she died an untimely death. At the age of 55, the Chandni and English Vinglish actress passed away due to accidental drowning in Dubai. Sridevi was the recipient of various accolades including the National Film Award.
In a career that spanned five decades, she went on to star in innumerable films playing the leading roles. She had worked with stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Rishi Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Shah Rukh Khan to name a few.
