Patiala Babes has already brought about a change in the mindsets of people: Ashnoor Kaur

MUMBAI: Sony TV's Patiala Babes (Katha Kottage) is quite an unconventional show.

The show depicts a journey of a mother–daughter duo who strives hard to survive after the mother decides to divorce her first husband.

The show recently showcased the daughter arranging her mother's wedding. Currently, the show revolves around the changed relationship between Babita and Minnie, because after Babita's second marriage, complicated situations have been arising every now and than.

TellyChakkar got in touch with beautiful actress Ashnoor Kaur, who plays Minnie in the show. We asked her about the unconventional storyline, and she said, 'The show is quite different. It is not very dramatic. Patiala Babes has already brought about a change in people's mentality as far as remarriage and divorce is concerned. Our show also talks about women empowerment, and it seem to have hit a right chord with the audience. Also, one of the major aspects is that it is loved by all age groups and genders. Fans and viewers often give us the feedback that they have learned several small things from the show. I'm glad to be a part of something that has touched so many hearts.'

When asked about her stellar bond with her off-screen mother Babita (Paridhi Sharma), Ashnoor said, 'I actually don't know the reason we bonded so well. We just clicked from the word go. There was never really any 'ice-breaking', because there was no ice (laughs). Right from the first look test, we kind off clicked. We used to chit-chat during breaks. We realized that both of us share a common favourite Bollywood actor: Vicky Kaushal. Also, she is a mother to a child. Maybe that helped build a rock solid bond that has helped incredibly for our scenes.'

Well, the show and the cast are doing a fab job. Acclaimed producer and writer Rajita Sharma has churned out an interesting concept that is very different from stereotypical stories we see on TV, and the audience loves it. Here's wishing all the luck to the cast and crew.
