Saba Mumtaz is a well-known name in the world of Indian television. She started her career as a producer wherein she produced one and a half hour feature film for Film’s Division. But later she changed lanes and took up writing. And since then, she has been treading the path of success. Her first show was Haqeeqat on Sahara, and till date has penned more than 15 shows. However, her claim to fame show was writing Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain. And her list of feathers doesn’t end here. She is also writing Parvaarish (Sony) and Uttaran (Colors) and has been signed to write Shakuntalam Telefilms’ new show on Zee TV. But giver her versatile nature and her knack of exploring as a professional, she has now gone back to being a producer. "Yes, I am happy about it. My first show is for ZEE TV and I am co-producing it with Balaji Telefilms. It’s called Tere Ishq Nachaye and it’s absolutely an original love story written by me. The title has been taken from Bulleh Shah’s famous poetry. The story basically signifies that no matter what, love will eventually find you," smiled gracious and charming Saba. Her show is based in Punjab and its casting is yet to be finalised. Furthermore, it is expected to hit the floors in the next two to three weeks and will hit the screens before April, 2012. "My husband, Rafique Mohammad – a well-known editor in the entertainment industry – has been very helpful and has been supporting me constantly," shared Saba. Well Saba, all the best and Tellychakkar.com wishes you a rocking year ahead!!!
