MUMBAI: Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has yet again found it's place in the headlines of many news articles. Firstly, the show secured the top position in the TRP charts followed by a shocking buzz about popular actors Dilip Joshi and Munmun Datta quitting the show.
To get more clarity on the buzz that's been going around, TellyChakkar got in touch with Samay Shah who plays the character of Gogi in the show and asked him about the news regarding Jethalal and Babita (Dilip Joshi and Munmun Datta) quitting the show. Samay said, "I don't think they're leaving. These are all rumors."
We also asked Samay about Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah topping the TRP charts. He said, "I am very excited and happy that the show is getting so much love and adulation of the people. It feels great that show is back to it's number 1 spot. I believe, the producer of the show Asit Modi needs to be appreciated and acknowledged for all the efforts that he puts in. The entire team has been working tirelessly."
He added, "The show had only one agenda since the time it began airing: to make people laugh. If you see, this year, the show has delivered some exciting episodes and tracks. I am super happy that the episodes are gripping enough that the show has topped the charts. I feel a lot of gratitude towards the audience of the show who has loved the show since the very first episode. The ratings are very encouraging, I hope we continue to entertain the viewers."
