Survivor India is not being marketed well, says Rajesh Khera

While the audiences witnessed extensive promotion of Star Plus’ Survivor India, Rajesh Khera has a different opinion. The actor, who was eliminated from Star Plus’ Survivor India on 4 February 2012, feels the show wasn’t marketed well. “I hope that the channel would learn from their mistakes and does a better sell job for the next season. The time slot also needs to be reworked, so we don’t run into serious competition,” he tells Tellychakkar.com.
He is also quite disappointed with the ratings the show has grossed till now (0.9 latest), “Star Plus audience seems to be more interested in heavy drama and woman wearing fancy jewellery. We, on the other hand, offered a more raw (jungle, hunger pangs) experience.” Rajesh was in news recently when he spoke about fellow contestant Timmy Narang. “Till the last minute, Timmy kept on telling Abhinav Shukla and me that he would stand by us till the end. But when the tie happened, Timmy voted against me. I guess he is a very smart business man. He decided to eliminate me as he regarded me as a serious threat. I believe his financial power has played an important role in his position.” “Yes, he kept on muttering I am sorry I will make up for it. I did not say anything but I just feel that if he is like that in his real life too, then he is bad person and I don’t think he will have any real friends but only enemies.” Among the other contestants Rajesh says, he had problems with Payal Rohatgi (they were earlier together before the tribes were reorganized). “She was more interested in her looks; she wanted to bathe 4 times,” he ends.
