MUMBAI : With a deluge of content trying to find a voice across different platforms, it has become imperative that understanding audience sensibilities and preferences is a given. Acing this game for many years now is writer-director Siddharth P Malhotra, who has always crafted compelling and well-researched scripts. He believes that writing is key to making a good film or television show but adds that not always do writers get their due.
"Today the audience has a host of options to choose from and we must produce only the best if we want them to invest their time in us. . Having an A list actor can get you only a certain reach but having a good writer on board will ensure you have got the audience right where you want it's the writer whose thought translates to a film and he must get his due,”says Siddharth P Malhotra. “I have personally been on the other side and having worked on umpteen scripts, it has become clear that without a story or clarity in the writing, the film stands crippled.”
Producer-director Siddharth P Malhotra has always set the bar high in every project he has taken on. Whether it was creating Dil Mil Gaye or Sanjivani at a time when these genres were unexplored for Indian audience or directing a film like Hichki which had a great run at the box office. Siddharth has always foreseen the changes and trends in audience reactions.
