MUMBAI Shweta Tiwari is one of the most popular names of the small screen. The actress has been a part of the TV industry for nearly two decades and is still remembered as Prerna in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. The actress will soon be seen in web series Hum Tum And Them in a rather modern avatar. Shweta will also be seen sharing an onscreen kiss for the first time in her career.
In an interview with a leading website, Shweta opened up on her reaction after seeing the kiss and how it was daughter Palak Tiwari who made her feel okay about it.
Shweta revealed, 'Well, yes, I was very scared. When the promo went live, I got so scared. I called the creative and told them "What is this? I don’t like the trailer. I don’t know how to show it to my mother, my friends, and family." Then I sent that trailer to my daughter and asked her to give her honest opinion, and she said, "Wow, mom it is very good and amazing." That’s when I called the creative again and said that I was sorry for shouting and fighting with them but the trailer looks good. And then I shared it too. Probably Ekta Kapoor must have got to know about that, and that's why she left a comment on it.'
Shweta is currently seen in Mere Dad Ki Dulhan, where she plays Guneet, a girl next door who is street smart. About playing diverse characters, Shweta said, 'In Hum Tum And Them, my character is more complex and today’s age, while Guneet in Mere Dad Ki Dulhan is a street-smart, happy girl who knows her way through things.'
