MUMBAI Popular Telugu series Karthika Deepam is all set to be adapted and remodelled into a Hindi television series. The casting of the show is still in process, and the narrative is being modified to suit the audience.
The story revolves around Deepa, who is a deep-complexioned girl, and her trials and tribulations.
Popular TV actress Kavita Ghai has bagged the role in this series. Talking about her role with a leading daily, the actress said, 'I am playing the male lead's mother, and my character is completely different from what I had played in Beyhadh. I am the boss here, and that's why I just grabbed it.'
Kavita, who was a part of Beyhadh, reveals that she misses being a part of the hit show. She said, 'Yes, it's so mean of them to not call me back (laughs!). But they didn't repeat anyone apart from Jennifer. I would have felt terrible if they had called others and not called me. The new season features an entirely new cast and a brand new story. I wish them all the luck.'
