MUMBAI: The charming son of Indian Television, Rohan Mehra has been loved by the audience for his various roles on television for years now. This time around, Rohan has once again put himself to the test by playing the negative role of Ibrahim, a Casanova, in ATLBalaji’s Class of 2020. It isn’t just acting that Rohan manages to perfect, the dashing and debonair actor is the perfect all-rounder with a strong sporting background. Not only has he worked on his physique and looks for the character, but Rohan also underwent a special Badminton training for a particular scene in the series.
Talking about the same Rohan shares, “In this series, not only am I portraying a Casanova but also, I had a badminton scene in the show where I’m playing the part of a professional player. Back in my childhood, besides being a national-level Table Tennis player, I did play a bit of badminton as well so that did help me a lot. The scene required me to train quite a bit which is why I used to train at the sports club nearby whenever I had an off in between the shots. I trained under a coach for 10 days and eventually that helped me perform the scene to perfection.”
Class of 2020 is a spin-off of the web series Class of 2017, which showcases realistic story on a bunch of teenagers and their struggle as their lives get intertwined with drugs, relationships, sex, and peer pressure. The web-series filled with lots of real-life instances of what the students face that include moments of fun, love and friendship.
