MUMBAI: After playing a grey character in Divya Drashti, Mansi Srivastava is all set to turn positive in Mahesh Pandey's Vidya. The actress will play male lead Namish Taneja’s childhood friend. Talking about her character, Mansi says, “The show is set in a village, and I will play a Delhi-based designer, who is bubbly and full of life. While Vivek’s (Namish) mother wants us to get mar- ried, I don’t want to come in between him and Vidya as I am aware that they love each other.”
It is to be noted that Mansi is entering the show around three weeks after her ex-boyfriend, Mohit Abrol’s track wound up. They had an ugly break-up in January 2019 after being in a relationship for eight years. So, was there any awkwardness about entering the same show close on the heels of Mohit’s exit? Also, would she be comfortable sharing screen space with him in the future? Mansi replies, “I am focused on my character and nothing else. Even if I had to work with him, it would be as professionals, I have nothing to do with him as a person. I have to deal with the situation in a mature way.” Producer Mahesh Pandey adds, " the audiences will get to see lot of twists and turns in forthcoming episodes"
