MUMBAI : Talented and outspoken actress Swara Bhasker often finds herself being trolled and criticized. She has received a lot of flak from social media users. The actress was now trolled for supporting a former Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) student leader Umar Khalid. Umar was arrested late on Sunday under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) for his alleged role in the northeast Delhi riots. Swara took to her Twitter handle and showed her solitude towards Khalid and demanded his freedom. However, the actress got mercilessly trolled by the Twitterverse who created some memes.

While sharing her tweet, she used hashtags like "#StandWithUmarKhalid #FreeUmarKhalid" Apart from memes, there were some who even asked to go to jail or asked the police to put her behind the bars. Out of the many trolling comments, one of the users wrote, "Roses are red Violets are blue Umar Khalid is arrested Next could be you."
