MUMBAI: Rajan Shahi's "Anupamaa" is being loved by the audience not just in India but abroad too. The show features Rupali Ganguly in the lead role as Anupamaa. Soon after its debut, it made a special place in the audience's heart. It started with the story of a homemaker, who has forgotten herself while taking care of the needs of her family, and how a setback in life brought a big change in her personality that she moves ahead in life.
"Anupamaa", which is produced by Rajan Shahi and his mother Deepa Shahi under their banner Shahi Productions Pvt Ltd, has become the talk of the town because of its relatable storyline. While the makers in the initial episodes played beautifully with Anupamaa's vulnerability, she is now being shown as a strong woman who is trying to make her own identity. The show also spoke about a lot of issues that women face in most of the household, like going out to work, stree-dhan, dominance, and male chauvinism, and in their unique way, the makers have answered all those unanswered questions too.
"Anupamaa" is the mirror to the society, which has made certain rules for women, and is smashing them in a very subtle way. And it's not just women who are a fan of the show, men and kids are enjoying the show as well. While some see their mother in Anupamaa, some have realised that taking care of a house needs a lot of hard work, some have also started giving the women in their house the importance and acknowledgment they deserved.
Rajan Shahi's shows have always spoken about relationships and family values, and this is another gem that he created to break those rooted stereotypes. It is safe to say "Anupamaa" is on its road to becoming a cult show, and we couldn't be happier. "Anupamaa" also features Sudhanshu Pandey, Madalsa Sharma, Paras Kalnawat, Aashish Mehrotra, Muskaan Bamne, Alpana Buch, Arvind Vaidya, Shekhar Shukla, Nidhi Shah, and Anagha Bhosale.
