At this point in my career, I want to push myself into experimenting with characters than being in a comfort zone: Avinash Mishra

In an exclusive conversation with Avinash, he spoke at length about his journey in the television industry and his growth over the years.

MUMBAI: Avinash Mishra has come a long way in his career.

He has been seen in television shows like Ishqbaaaz, Zindagi Ke Crossroads, Mariam Khan - Reporting Live, Yeh Teri Galiyan and was also a part of Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke. Currently, Avinash is a part of Durga – Mata Ki Chhaya on Star Bharat.

In an exclusive conversation with Avinash, he spoke at length about his journey in the television industry and his growth over the years.

Avinash said, “When I started my career with Sethji, the show did not work too well due to TRP’s. However, I shot to popularity with my stint in Ishqbaaz. This show was a learning experience for me and that followed with Mariam Khan: Reporting Live where I learnt acting and how to add variation. Each and every show that I have done has been a wonderful experience and has helped me grow.

Out of all the shows that I have done, the character of Shantanu in Yeh Teri Galliyan is the closest to my heart as it not only went very well but also boosted my career. The show had a successful run of 400 episodes!”

When we asked him about his stint in Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke where he stepped into the shoes of the character that Ritvik Arora played, he shared, “Well, it is always difficult to replace someone. It is always challenging to step into a role which has been played by someone and people do make comparisons but I am glad that I took this decision because it was a huge cast and a good show. The audience loved me and so did the people on the show including the cast and the unit. The decision of entering Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke gave a good result. I am in touch with everyone on the show.”

Shedding some light on his current show Durga, on Star Bharat, Avinash said, “Well post Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke, I wanted to take a break because I was offered similar roles but this character is very challenging and I did not want to miss this opportunity. At this point in my career, I want to push myself into experimenting with characters than being in a comfort zone. I want to grow more and explore my skills. “

Well said Avinash! (Also Read: Avinash Mishra: By the end of the year, I got the best role of my career!)
