MUMBAI: Indian reality Tv shows give an equal platform for all the participants, it's on the contestants to make a name for themselves and get noticed and do whatever it takes. Even as Bigg Boss is already on to preparing for its season 15th, Shehnaaz Gill from the 13th season has still managed to keep her charm alive in the hearts of fans and her haters alike.
A singer and actress who predominantly worked in the Punjabi film industry, it was Shehnaaz’s stint on a reality show which earned her name and fame. Her cute antics, her charisma and her bubbly nature were loved by all fans and viewers, including the show’s host Salman Khan. The otherwise hot-headed host was often seen cracking up with her and pulling her leg on various occasions.
Shehnaaz was also happy to call herself 'Punjab Ki Katrina Kaif', sharing a laugh with Salman. Shehnaaz managed to win the spot of the second runner-up, the first being Asim Riaz.
As expected, Shehnaaz also changed her groups and zones inside the house but her attachment and subsequent liking with the show’s winner Sidharth Shukla remained one of the biggest highlights of the show. Lovingly called Sidnaaz, the duo earned a huge fan base and various fan clubs, all thanks to their camaraderie and bitter-sweet relationship.
While the two have always maintained the 'just friends' tag, Shehnaaz has often confessed her feelings for the Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya actor on occasions more than one.
More than Shehnaaz, it is her fans that root for their relationship and want to see Sidnaaz turn official.
It was after the show that Shehnaaz’s professional life has been on an all-time high, and her graph continues to go upwards. Post the show, she starred in various music videos such as 'Bhula Dunga', 'Kurta Pajama' and 'Shona Shona' among others, which have trended on the top positions.
Her most recent music video single 'FLY' came out with none other than Bollywood rapper and singer Badshah and was well received.
