MUMBAI: Sony Entertainment Television is all set to launch a new show - Ishk Par Zor Nahi. This latest offering from Sony brings to life a new-age young love story which highlights conflicting ideologies of Ahaan Malhotra and Ishqi on love and marriage.
Actress Shagun Sharma has been roped in to play the role of ‘Sonu Malhotra’, Ahaan’s sister in the show. Sonu is an attractive woman who is well aware of her beauty and charm. She has always been the center of attention whether it’s her family or the trail of boys who’d fall for her. Not so career-oriented or ambitious, she just wants to ‘settle-down’ with someone who would offer her the same sense of security and devotion as her family.
Talking about her role, Shagun Sharma said, “My character ‘Sonu’ is a pampered girl who has always been the apple of the eye of her family, especially her elder brother ‘Ahaan’. She’s shy and demure and doesn’t have any big dreams. All she wants is a stable marriage and comfortable life. Honestly speaking, essaying Sonu’s character doesn’t come easily to me as I personally have a different mindset. I had to consciously absorb her persona, background, behaviour, into my own which is the only way I could make the depiction convincing.”
