MUMBAI: In a recent interview, telly fame Jannat Zubair and singer Abhi Dutt were a part of their music video project 'Lehja', which is currently seen trending on YouTube. Abhi lended his voice for the song while Jannat and Faisu starred in the video.

Initially, Jannat revealed her view behind taking up this project. Jannat said that the theme of this MV was very much different from that of her earlier projects and she got hooked to the song right after listening to it for the very first time itself. 

Talking about the expectations related to the kind of response 'Lehja' garnered from the audience, Abhi expressed that he could not keep his calm on witnessing the teaser of 'Lehja' trending on the top right after it's release, hence he got excited and automatically anticipated a massive response for the actual MV on it's release.

Jannat also said that she misses performing her on-screen stints on the small-screen, which she used to perform as a child artiste years ago. "Acting is my passion and to do something like that...when you get to do something jis mein aapko ek ek page ke line milte the toh I used to get very excited and I used to get very happy....in fact mein bohut khush hoti thi ki arey yaar, mujhe perform karne ko milega! So honestly, I miss acting a lot.", she expressed.

Moving on, on being asked about facing irrational and brutal trolls on social media platforms like Instagram or TikTok and being type-casted as per the general mainstream content which streams on these sites, Jannat accepted the same and recalling an incident of around 10 months ago (which still feels fresh), she revealed about receiving a lot of hatred on social media during lockdown 1.0, which she was not accustomed to before. People showered hatred upon her and called her 'cringe' only because she made short videos on a particular platform. 

Jannat said that people were targetting not just her, rather a community by calling them out as 'cringe' who don't deserve being heard, loved or supported. They called other people only to hit a 'dislike' on her videos such that for the first time in her career, Jannat witnessed her videos get over a thousand dislikes and ill-logical comments on being assumed as a part of that community. 

She emphasised on her stance 'live and let live' in support of that community folks and she feels there's no problem with such folks who only crave for some public reach and exposure and unnecessary hatred must not be showered upon them.

Jannat revealed that she initially thought of uploading a self-recorded retaliation video against her trollers but then refrained from the same as she felt that there's no point stressing on it and she distanced herself from the hype.

On being asked about dealing with that kind of online hatred at such a young age, she revealed of initially taking the trolls personally as it directly attacked her sentiments, her parents, career, professionalism and encompassingly targetted everyone in her close contacts. She expressed her failure to let go of these trolls as they stay back with the person it's intended for in the initial phases , as the person tries hard searching for answers behind such abusive targetting, that too for no big issue. "O don't mind people criticising me, but I mind people hating on me for no reason.", she stressed on it.

She also revealed how her brother (who was 12 y/o back then) got affected by these trolls and abuses, which really upset her.

Jannat emphasised on taking criticism positively as she respects the honesty behind people's constructive feedback and suggestions, which would help her enhance her own creativity in the long-run. However, she totally condemns unnecessary hatred as she personally finds it difficult hating a person without even knowing them personally.

Talking on the same, Abhi reveals that people use the term 'autotune' to degrade his work, on the note of which he virtually explains what autotune actually is as many people comment on the same without even knowing anything about it or even music.
