MUMBAI: It came as a shocker to the nation when Pearl V Puri was arrested last night by Vasai police.

The actor has been booked for rape and was arrested last night (June 4) for the same. According to information received, it is highly impossible for Pearl to be granted bail for the crime committed. Also, being a Saturday, sources from the police station inform us that it could be a strategic movement for the police to arrest him around the weekend so that the bail plea is awaited the following day.

We also receive information that Pearl has been booked for raping a minor. He has been booked under IPC 376.

IPC 376 means that : Whoever, except in the cases provided for in sub-section (2), commits rape, shall be punished with rigorous imprisonment of either description for a term which 1 [shall not be less than ten years, but which may extend to imprisonment for life, and shall also be liable to fine.

We earlier reported that he has been arrested by Waliv Police Station and he is currently being interrogated on the same. Apparently, a case has been filed against six people one of which is Pearl. He is being interrogated on the same. We now bring an exclusive information to you that the case is from an incident which happened in 2019. There was a thorough investigation going on around the same and finally the charges have been levied.
