A page from the personal diary of Anupriya Kapoor Hello everyone, this is Anupriya Kapoor whom you all know as Taani from my last show Tere Liye. Born and brought up in Delhi, where my mom and dad stay, I completed my schooling and later, college, with Correspondence degree in Political Science. Later, I shifted to Mumbai where I am currently staying with my grandma, younger brother and my pet dog Brandy. Since my school days, I used to take active participation in theatres, drama and other types of cultural activities but never thought of becoming an actor in my wildest dream. I always wanted to do something artistic. One day, when I came over to Mumbai to meet my cousin, he insisted that I try my luck in television. At that time, my brother Vyom was participating in the reality show Voice of India. Simultaneously, even I started working as a senior executive producer with Gajendra Singh’s team in Voice of India. After that I did episodics for Yash Raj TV. Then I got an opportunity to work in a Star One show Miley Jab Hum Tum. So I gave a look test and was selected for the role of Suhaani Shergill. After the show ended, I did a full-fledged role in Tere Liye. Then, I did a reality show Jee Le Ye Pal. My journey till now has been great for I did not have to struggle much. Actors are always an insecure bunch, but I am not. Looking back, I have grown as an actor and don’t regret being a part of any project. Talking about future projects all I can say is that any of the current shows on TV doesn’t excite me. I think after Tere Liye, there has been no good show on small screen. Nowadays, shows go off track by adding some new entry, giving some new twist and eventually losing its flavour. I will work only if I get something exciting. For me, a channel and money doesn’t matter, what I am interested in is a good role. In fact, I have worked for free for a long period of time. On the personal front, I like to spend time with my friends and family; it is a kind of an energy booster. I am not a party person and nor do I smoke or booze. I also like to play with my pet Brandy. So this is my journey in a nutshell. I would like to express a big thank you to all my lovely fans for being with me. Cheers.
