Interesting! Vatsal Sheth is no longer the boy next door

Vatsal Sheth made his big screen debut with Taarzan - The Wonder Car.

MUMBAI: Vatsal Sheth made his big screen debut with Taarzan - The Wonder Car. The actor has been a part of Ek Hasina Thi, Haasil, and Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke. His chocolate boy, next-door image is popular among fans. But it looks like Vatsal wants to change that.

The actor has been working on this since last year. He says, “When I did Ek Hasina Thi, it was a different role, one that I had never done. I was apprehensive whether I would be able to pull it off convincingly. But I did and that is when I realised that there's a lot more that I can do. During lockdown last year, I made a conscious decision to change my image, so I worked on it with the help of my designer. We did a photoshoot, too, where one can see me in a different look altogether.”

To change his looks, Vatsal grew his hair and sported a beard. “From the very beginning of my career – when I did the TV show Just Mohabbat and then Taarzan – I had a boy-next-door image. But now, with so much happening in the online space, I want to try different characters and roles. I would like to play a character with grey shades, something different from what I have done so far. To do that, I want people to see me in a different look and want them to think, 'Oh! We didn't know Vatsal can look like this.’ Slowly, people have been taking notice and I hope to bag some interesting roles soon.”
