The professional singer, Samiksha Bhatnagar aims to sing for Bollywood Divas

Samiksha Bhatnagar, who is presently seen in Star Plus’ Ek Veer Ki Ardaas – Veera and SAB TV’s Baal Veer, is not only an actor by profession but also a trained singer. The actress is on ‘Cloud Nine’ at the moment as she is all set to perform live in singing programmes across various cities in India over the New Year week. Tellychakkar.com caught up with Samiksha to know more on her musical background. “I am a trained singer and never forget to do my ‘riyaaz’ in spite of my busy schedule. I am a professional singer and aim to sing for some of our Bollywood divas. Some of the leading Bollywood Music Directors and singers who have met me during my musical events have in fact appreciated me for my voice and singing talent. I was floored when a Music Director came up to me and said, ‘You have a very good voice quality and you are ready to take up the big stage. I want you to sing in my next album.’ I would say music and dance flows in my blood as I have inherited them from my mother.” For Samiksha, romantic Bollywood songs, Ghazals and classical numbers are her forte. Talking about sharing stage with eminent personalities from the music field, Samiksha stated, “I have got an opportunity to sing with renowned singers like Richa Sharma and Shibani Kashyap in the musical events. Personally I get motivated and inspired by Asha Bhonsle and Shreya Ghosal. Among the male singers, my favourites are Sonu Nigam and Mohit Chauhan.” Samiksha, may the New Year give you great success in both acting and music fields.
