Bhavani Kaku aka Kishori Shahane has been in the industry for more than two decades. She has been a prominent name in the Hindi and Marathi industry with some blockbuster films and shows. We got on a call with the actress and asked her about those viral reels with Ayesha and Aishwarya aka Sai and Pakhi from Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin
How important is social media for an actor in present times?
It is completely important in the present times. I believe we need to be available everywhere. The fans should not feel that I am out of sight if they aren't watching the current show. As an actor one has to keep their presence felt on all the platforms. It is a professional demand. Just recently we were discussing that it is more difficult to find new concepts for the reels in between of learning the dialogues. The scenes aren't that taxing towards content as the reels. We are always hooked to what next needs to be done to bring catchy concepts.
There was a set of series between Ayesha and you where you do the role reversal? Fans want it back if you both plan on doing them
We did that in Hyderabad where we had entire 24 hours to ourselves. We could line it up accordingly, exchanging characters is not easy with the costume, hairstyle and everything. It has to be ready and we both had to be free, that day Sai or I had a holiday and we requested the Dressman to give us the clothes, our costumes had to fit each other. We had to even request the hairstylist to help us the get ups and after all that hard work we shot only two small reels but it was a super success.
Aishwarya and your reels with the Shinchan twists are quite interesting
I am a big fan of Shinchan, my son grew up watching those cartoons that's how I know Shinchan soo well, Popeye the sailor man, The road runner peep peep haha. Now cartoons have become quite robotic and not that fun like Tom and Jerry days. It is always fun to bring back childhood.
Well, we would love to see more role reversal reels for sure.
