Here’s presenting a blast from the past. Check out the picture above. Yes, it’s a little old but the figures seen in it is what caught our attention. Can you see a lanky figure in the extreme right kissing a girl on the cheek? Well…he is none other than TV heartthrob Gurmeet Choudhary. Gurmeet as we all know gained immense popularity in Star One’s Geet and currently is weaving magic on small screen in Zee TV’s Punar Vivah (Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt Ltd). The pic was clicked way back in 2006 when Gurmeet was taking part in the Sahara One talent hunt contest Mr and Ms Bollywood in Chennai. The girl in concern is an air hostess and an ex south film actress called Priyanka (now married). Since the picture also features Divyanka Tripathi (on the left), we contacted her to learn more about it and she said that while the picture does seem to indicate that something was brewing between Gurmeet and Priyanka, there was nothing as such. “It’s just a fun pic. He was fooling around.” She further added that “during the period the above picture was taken Gurmeet was already involved with his now wife Debina Bonnerjee.” “We friends were actually surprised by the devotion the couple had for each other. I still remember that Gurmeet would take Debina on his bike for all kinds of auditions. I guess he would not have clicked this picture had he known back then that he would become so famous.” We tried to contact Gurmeet but he remained unavailable. However we spoke to Debina and she said, “Yes it’s an old picture and even I am there. I am there just sitting below Gurmeet. Why should I have an issue on the pic? Since I was right there, so there is no question of controversy at all.” Well…Gurmeet and Debina…we wish you all the happiness and love. But Gurmeet…buddy…you have changed a lot for sure (we mean physical appearance).
