MUMBAI:Krish Lahiri, son of actor Sunil Lahri, who is better known for his character portrayal as Lakshman in Sagar Arts' Ramayan, is making his TV debut with Star Plus’ new show Yeh Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar, produced by Ranjita Sharma.
The show stars Ankit Siwach and Swati Rajput in the lead roles, while Krish plays the parallel lead.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Krish who spoke about his role, the show, and more.
He shared, “I'm the parallel lead of the show, I'm playing the male protagonist's younger brother. My character is a typical south Delhi guy, who's kind of a spoilt kid. He looks up to his brother as a father figure. It's a fun loving and carefree character who has its principles right.”
Which shows have you done before? “I've done P.O.W by Nikhil Advani, it's on MX player now. It was quite a popular show in web space. This is my first daily soap.”
What is your take on the issue of materializing women based on their skin tone and physical appearance? “I feel physical appearance shouldn’t matter; the person should be good at heart.”
How has your journey been in this industry? “My father was unaware that I was interested in acting. I gave my first audition for P.O.W and I got the role, and after getting a call I told my father. I wanted to go my way instead of taking help of my father.”
What kind of roles do you wish to play? “I'm very interested in grey shades because there are multiple layers. I want to do roles to which people feel connected.”
