MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Salman Khan has approached the Bombay High Court reportedly after a new summon was filed against him and his bodyguard Nawaz Shaikh by the Andheri Magistrate court in connection with a phone snatching case filed by a Mumbai-based journalist in 2019. The Tiger 3 actor was asked to appear before the Magistrate court today.

It all happened when a complaint was filed against Khan at Mumbai’s DN Nagar Police station. The complainant had accused the actor of snatching his mobile phone while he was filming the actor as he was cycling on Linking Road.
Previously, a cross-application was also submitted by Salman’s bodyguard against the owner of the mobile phone which mentioned that the actor was being filmed without his consent. The complainant, in this case, is a local journalist named Ashok Shyamlal Pandey. The matter was later moved to the Magistrate Court for further jurisdiction.

On the other hand, the complaint filed against Salman Khan alleged that the complainant had permission from the actor's bodyguard before shooting his video on the phone while he was cycling in the city. It further mentioned that Khan and his bodyguards misbehaved with the said journalist and then snatched away his phone in the process. However, the phone was returned to the journalist later.
