You are reuniting with Bidaai actor Angad Hasija once again. How excited are you about it?

Whenever we are on the set, we do all kinds of silly and fun talks. Everyone sees how crazy we are. We are totally childish. Both of us have matured with time. We share a very good bond now. I get to learn a lot of things from him. We also make reels together. It feels we have gone back to the Bidaai days. It is fun to work with him.

Do you feel taking a long break from TV has somewhere impacted your career?

Not at all. The actor in an artist never dies. I was very much prepared for my character from the very first day of my shoot. It was quite fair for me to take a break. I don't think it has impacted my career. I was also getting a lot of offers. But I was very choosy about my projects. Also, I got married and wanted to settle down with my family. They are very supportive.

How challenging is it to play a historical character as you are portraying it for the first time?

As an actor, one has to take a lot of effort to portray such a character as it is a historical show. We all are taking a lot of effort to get into the skin of our respective characters along with the heavy costumes and jewellery. I am wearing a headgear which weighs 4 kgs. It is quite tiring. But when I get into the skin of the character and the outcome is great, it feels great. We all go in a different zone.

Parul has previously done shows like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Sapna Babul Ka - Bidaai, Rishton Se Badi Pratha, Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi Umeed, and Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, among others.
