Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum (Shashi-Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt. Ltd) will see some dramatic sequences in the episodes to come as Kajri (Pallavi Rao) takes the ultimate decision of saving the children from the fire. As per the ongoing track, the kids of the village are stuck as fire has spread all over. Only Kajri knows the art of climbing a rope and she is the only one who can save the kids. However, the lady is adamant and does not want to help as the grandson of the Sarpanch (who killed her son years back) is also trapped along with other kids. After a lot of pleading coming from the Sarpanch, Suraj (Anas Rashid) and Sandhya (Deepika Singh), Kajri eventually agrees to rescue the children. In tonight’s (30 April 2013) episode, Kajri climbs the rope and daringly rescues the children and brings them back to safety. This kind gesture of Kajri makes the Sarpanch breakdown and he realizes the grave mistake that he had done by killing Kajri’s son years back. The result is that the man mellows down and agrees for the marriage of Emily (Pooja Singh) and Mohit (Varun Jain). This will ultimately bring to an end the character of Kajri on a happy note. The interesting fact here, is that versatile actress Pallavi Rao who essays the role of Kajri performed the stunts of climbing the rope, getting down etc all by herself. She shot for every single action with great élan and courage. Talking about this experience, Pallavi Rao told Tellychakkar.com, “It has been a fascinating journey playing this role of Kajri in Diya Aur Baati Hum. Yes, the track of Kajri ends on a high note. And I am very much satisfied as an actor, as I got to prove my mettle not only in acting but also in performing my own stunts. You will see the stunt sequences from tonight, wherein I have shot for every scene. When I decided to do my own stunts, the unit members were a bit apprehensive, but I convinced them that I can carry them well. I did all the stunts and it was an amazing experience.” Pallavi did have her share of accidents while performing the stunts. “The floor on which I was standing at a height was very weak, and I did not realize it. When I put my full weight on the floor, it cracked and my right leg went inside the floor. This created a lot of chaos. Also I was on a harness for more than six hours while shooting this sequence, and have got bruises all over my body. It’s been few days since I shot for this sequence, but the black and blue marks on my body are still to be seen. Having said this, I have to admit that this has been a fantastic experience of my life. A moment to cherish, I would say.” The track ahead in Diya Aur Baati Hum will proceed towards the wedding of Emily and Mohit.
