MUMBAI: Rajshree Thakur is ruling several hearts with her performance as Pallavi in Sony TV's recently released show Appnapan.

The show also stars Cezanne Khan in the lead role opposite Rajshree.

The duo has come together for the first time for this family drama and the viewers are in love with this fresh pairing.

While Cezanne is working with Ekta Kapoor for the second time after his successful collaboration with her for Kasauti Zindagi Kay, it is Rajshree's first time with Balaji Telefilms.

Rajshree has been asked a lot about the show, her character, her bond with co-stars and more.

Did you ever feel that taking a few years of break from work affected your career?

No, not at all. After Saat Phere also people did not forget me. They knew I am very much there. This is why Maharana Pratap was offered to me. People still remember me as Saloni from Saat Phere. They remember me for my work. I never regretted my decision of taking a break from work. At that time, I was not just sitting home and chilling, I dedicated my whole time to my family and my daughter. It was a deliberate decision.

You play a chef in the show and you have taken professional training for the same. Did any mishaps happen while performing the scene or learning how to cook?

I recollect a scene where a fire had to be lit in a pan to cook a dish. I was damn scared as I have not done it before. A dish was to be cooked with wine and it was quite tricky for us. This was very new for me. I was also not able to cut the onions professionally the way chefs do it.

Will Appnapan change the perspective of people towards single parenting?

I think the single parenting concept is not new to the society. But still, living in this society, we are scared of this concept. We keep thinking about people and their points of view towards us. People often underestimate both men and women. I won't say that people's mindsets will instantly change after seeing this show. But people have now started accepting that single parenting is quite normal. Obviously, it creates a different impact on kids if they are raised by both mother and father. I feel society is eventually going to accept this.
