The diminutive Sakshi has been laid low by pneumonia for the last month and half. Sakshi’s illness has also stalled the shoot of her upcoming show Ranbir Rano, where she plays the lead.
Despite her sickness, the actress made it to the press meet yesterday. It’s strange for a Talwar to appear low. “Yes, I gotta agree with you. Is waqt Talwar dhal chuki hai,” says Sakshi.in a very low voice.

The show is set to roll from September 22 and with Sakshi falling sick doesn’t it make for an inauspicious start? “I don’t know about the inauspicious bit but I’ve been feeling very weak and tired. Thankfully, the people around me have been very supportive and have given me enough time to rest,” she sighs.
Talking about her illness, Sakshi says, “It’s been almost a month since I haven’t taken to work. I think the viral has fallen in love with me. Even after going undergoing several blood tests, the doctors failed to detect the disease. All symptoms though point to pneumonia.”
Adding further she says, “When I first fell ill, I headed home to Delhi. I recovered a bit but upon my return to Mumbai, things got worse once again. I’ve lost over two kilos and have been eating boiled vegetables. I had to be admitted to hospital for a few days. Doctors have advised me strict bed rest.”
We wish Sakshi a speedy recovery.
