MUMBAI: Ishita Dutta was last seen on the big screen in Drishyam 2 which was released in November this year. The film has turned out to be a super hit at the box office and it looks like it will soon reach the 200-crore club.
TellyChakkar recently interacted with Ishita and spoke to her about Drishyam 3, her upcoming projects, and more...
There has been a buzz on social media that the Hindi and Malayalam version of Drishyam 3 will be made together and released on the same day. Do you have an update about it?
Even I have read that. Honestly, I am the wrong person; I think Abhishek (Pathak) sir would be someone who would know more. Whatever you know even I know the same thing because I have read it online that Malayalam third part is coming out. I am waiting because I know that if they are making it, we will obviously make it, and after the success of Drishyam 2, I can’t wait to be a part of Drishyam 3 because I want to know what’s going to happen next.
You have earlier done a few South films, so any plans of making a comeback down South?
Yes, I have been out of it, but if there’s something in South and if I get a call and something works out, I think I would love to do it. I also have so many friends over there who are working in Telugu and Tamil film industries.
Tell us something about your upcoming projects…
I want to do OTT, so I am in talks with some people and want to start shooting and later talk about it. There’s also something with Vatsal (Sheth) which we were supposed to do this year but it got pushed to next year; I am very excited about it. We have not decided but I think it’s going to be an OTT film. So, I am very excited about it as I will be working with Vatsal after a very long time.
