MUMBAI : In 2021, a show titled Potluck started streaming on Sony LIV. The show revolved around a crazy family and it starred Kitu Gidwani, Jatin Sial, Cyrus Sahukar, Ira Dubey, Harman Singha, Saloni Khanna, Shikha Talsania, and Siddhant Karnick. Now, season 2 of the series is all set to premiere on the OTT platform soon.

How excited or nervous are you for Potluck season 2?
I am not nervous at all, I am excited to see what’s been done because I haven’t seen the final product myself, and you are always joyful when anything you have done or you are a part of is releasing. But no, nervousness is not there.

When season 1 of a show does very well, for season 2 is there a pressure to perform better?
That happens less on a performance level and more when you are reading a script, that’s when it starts kicking in because you have a perception of what the character has done, what the writers have done, and where the story arc is going, it is all a revelation to you. So, it starts primarily from there and transfers to like yes I have to get it right.
What was your first reaction when you read the script of Potluck season 1?
When season 1 came to me, the first motivation for me was that I was in lockdown and I was offered a series, and I was like let’s go to work. I read the series, which they had sent me the first three episodes of, and I found it easy-breezy, and nice to read. I have my inhabitations and I am always very skeptical because for shows like these, the writing has to be very smooth, otherwise, you just feel like you don’t know where this is going. When we started shooting the show, I realized how casual and how nice and easy Rajshree Ojha wanted this to be.
Potluck season 2 will premiere on 24th Feb 2023.
