MUMBAI : In 2021, an OTT series titled A Cold Mess was announced with Barun Sobti and Ridhi Dogra in the lead roles. Fans have been waiting for this series from the day it was announced, and now, finally it has premiered on Amazon mini TV. So, was the wait worth it? Find out in our review below...
Badtameez Dil is about Karan (Barun Sobti) and Liz (Ridhi Dogra). They are two totally opposite people; while Liz believes in romance, love, and finding the perfect life partner, Karan believes that one should get married to their best friend and have sex with people whom they find attractive. Now, what will happen between these two when they meet?

Rom-com is a subject that has been explored a lot in movies and OTT as well. We have seen the concept of how a girl falls in love but the guy doesn't, how a girl discovers herself when she meets a guy, and all those concepts have been mixed in Badtameez Dil. So, when it comes to basic storyline, the series has nothing new to offer.
Even the screenplay and direction are a bit bumpy. While some scenes have that beautiful magic and makes us feel the romance around, some just fall flat. Also, we love the Friends (American series) references in the series.
Barun Sobti and Ridhi Dogra's chemistry is one of the highlights of the film, and this series is a treat for their fans. Ridhi has given a very confident performance and Barun will surely steal your hearts with his act. Mallika Dua and Minissha Lamba are decent in their respective roles.

Apart from the chemistry between leads and the performances, one more thing that grabs our attention in the series is the soulful music. The songs in the series are beautiful.
Overall, Badtameez Dil is a typical rom-com and offers nothing new, but if you love Ridhi and Barun, then just watch it.
Ratings: 2.5/5
