MUMBAI: Movie Dono, which mark the acting debut of Rajveer Deol, son of superstar Sunny Deol and Paloma, daughter of Poonam Dhillon has been the talk of the town ever since the trailer was out. Fans have loved the trailer and the new jodi and were eagerly looking forward to the movie.
Today, finally the movie Dono has hit the big screen and definitely, it has all the elements that are required for a perfect family entertainer with some silent messages based on relationships.
The movie deals with the central character Dev, played by Rajveer Deol, who has a startup. Now, he is going to attend the wedding of a girl who he loves since 10 years. In that wedding, Dev meets Meghna, which is played by Paloma, who has her own challenges in life. What cooks between them is a ride of lot of magic, love and relationship realities.
The screenplay of the movie is good and it is engaging at the same time. The locations covered are beautiful and the direction given by Avnish Barjatya is brilliant.
Talking about the performances, it was a treat to watch Rajveer Deol throwing his magic all over with his acting and charm. The actor looked supremely handsome and cute in the movie. Rajveer Deol is indeed one of the promising actors in the upcoming time. Also, on the other hand, Paloma looked too beautiful in the movie. Even she is very promising at the same time. Other casts like Aditya Nanda, Kanikka Kapur, Rohan Khurana, Manik Papneja and Poojan Chhabra were decent on their part and would surely make you laugh as their characters are quite relatable.
Talking about the positive point of the movie, it definitely has to be the concept with some silent messages based on the relationship. The concept of the movie is very much important and relevant in today's time. On the other hand, another positive point of the movie has to be actor Rajveer Deol. He is looking handsome in the movie and he is very promising as Dev in the movie. The locations shown in the movie are beautiful and are a visual treat. The songs of the movie are beautiful and very situational. It goes with the scenes of the movie.
Having said all the plus points, there are few negative points too. The length of the movie is too long and it could have been trimmed a bit. The screenplay lacks a little towards the climax but the performances of every actor in the frame does not allow your interest level to go down. There are one or two songs that look a little forceful.
Well, having said all these points, no doubt, Dono is a must watch because of the charm of the debutant Rajveer Deol and the freshness Paloma and he brought on-screen. Also, there are some important messages based on relationships.
