MUMBAI: Indeed one of the most loved and followed stars of Indian cinema is Raveena Tandon. It is always a treat to watch the actress on screen and now, she is all set to be seen in the upcoming OTT series titled Karmma Calling, which will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar.
Earlier, we got to watch the teaser of the series and the audience felt intrigued by it as everyone started wondering how the series will turn out to be.
Later, the creators of the series released the trailer wherein we can feel the intensity rising. The trailer shows how the series is based on revenge and Karma, as in the consequences of actions.
Namrata Sheth plays the role of Karma in Karmma Calling and we got into an exclusive conversation with the actress where we talked about her parameter of choosing a character, desired director and much more.
Parameter to choosing a character
On this, Namrata Sheth said that she looks for humanness in a character because even in the character of Karma she feels that there is so much depth and humanity in the way it’s being portrayed that you really understand where she is coming from. She added that she looks for a character whose layers can be seen and understood by the audience.
What made you say yes to the character?
On this, Namrata Sheth said that she has watched the original English series and has been a fan of it since the actress was in school which is why when she came to know that there are auditions going on to adapt the English show ‘Revenge’ in Hindi, she immediately wanted to be a part of it.
Desired director
On this, Namrata Sheth said that she has a long list of directors which scares her from choosing one director because there are so many that she wants to work with. Namrata Sheth expressed her wish to work with Zoya Akhtar by saying that she has been a fan of the director after watching her first movie. She then expressed her wish of working with Shoojit Sircar and that one day she would love to do a movie like Piku.
