MUMBAI : One of the most important Hindu holidays, Holi—also called Basanta Utsav or the festival of colours—promises a joyous celebration of colour, harmony, and rebirth. People from all over India will congregate to commemorate the triumph of good over evil, illuminating the streets with a rainbow of hues.
Every year people play with gulaal and other colours, splash water and get high on bhang.

Today we look at television shows where the lead actors got high on bhang and celebrated the festival of colours in a joyous fashion. The drama of the show also reached its peak giving a new twist to the drama.
Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin
This show will witness Savi, Ishaan and Reeva getting high on bhang. Reeva and Ishaan will plan to marry and Savi will help then but later Ishaan will tell Savi that he is already married to her and Reeva will realise the same and will be heartbroken.
In the past too, there have been shows which has presented some high voltage drama around the festival of Holi.
Udariyaann
Ekam and Nehmat could get really drunk during the Holi celebrations and the inebriated state, dance together. The audience will get to see their romance during the celebrations.
Bhagyalakshmi
The Aishwarya Khare and Rohit Suchanti serial had also showcased a high voltage drama where both Lakshmi and Rishi act strangely when intoxicated. As Lakshmi converses with Karishma, the latter requests that Neelam chastise her for her actions. Neelam soon loses his cool with Lakshmi. But inebriated Lakshmi humiliates her mother-in-law for constantly making fun of her. Lakshmi talks on how she brought her into the house as a daughter-in-law for selfish reasons and now she wants to be driven out. Lakshmi tells the guests the unvarnished truth about Neelam.
Anupamaa
It was seen in last Holi how Anupama becomes drunk and she begins to have fun and dance during the Holi festival. Afterwards, Anupama set up a ladder and climbed up to Vanraj's window to paint him.
When Vanraj sees Anupama's bizarre and humorous avatar, he is astounded. He understands that her purpose in being here is to color him. When Anupama tries to colour Vanraj, he warns her and denies it. However, she wants to add color and is singing in her own melody. Vanraj gets coloured by Anupamaa following a very humorous and large-scale drama.
Zindagi Ki Mehek
It was seen that Shaurya and Mehek will eat gol gappe they will get high and express their feeling towards each other. In the drunken state the duo also confess their love for each other.
