MUMBAI : Well known Bhojpuri actress Amrita Pandey has sadly passed away. The actress reportedly committed suicide in her home town of Bihar where she had gone to attend a wedding. Her body was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her home in Bihar, Bhagalpur.

The actress had decided to stay back in Bihar with a relative after attending a wedding. Shockingly, Amrita had shared a cryptic note on her Whatsapp status which left her friends and family baffled. Her note read, “Kyun do naov par sawaar thi uski zindagi, humne naov dubakar uska safar aasaan kar diya…”
Amrita was residing in Mumbai with her husband and had gone to Bihar to attend a wedding where she shockingly took her own life. Her family and husband are yet to issue an official statement, but her close acquaintances revealed that Amrita was battling depression and mental health issues. She was reportedly taking treatment for the same.
The police authorities suspect depression as the primary cause of the actress taking such a drastic step to end her life. A high-profile investigation has been ordered to investigate Amrita’s death.

Amrita was well known for her Bhojpuri films like Khesari Lal Yadav starrer Deewanapan.
