MUMBAI : Akhanda starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and Pragya Jaiswal was a mega blockbuster entertainer. The film was released in Hindi, after a year of releasing in Telugu. During an exclusive conversation with Telly Chakkar, the actress was asked about her Akhanda costar, Nandamuri Balakrishna. He, at the age of 63 is working hard for so long, playing leading roles even at this age. The actress was asked how was he pulling it off without bowing to the current trends where heroes need to look all glossy and have ripped physiques.
Pragya quipped, "His work ethic is strong. He is just phenomenal. Bala sir is very passionate about his work. He gives 100 per cent when he is on the film set. For him, films and roles are the most important. Whatever is needed for that role he will do. As long as he is giving 100 percent, entertaining the audience he will keep getting work, so will continue doing the work. He is pushing himself to do the best as I have seen him work..he loves doing what he does. He is religious, spiritual and disciplined. He is full of positive energy and wants to give 100 percent".
Akahnda has been produced by Dr. Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios and Sajid Qureshi while the Hindi version of the action movie has been directed by Boyapati Srinu. The actress played the role of an IAS officer which was one of the most memorable roles she had played in her acting filmography.
