Anupamaa initially revolved around the love triangle between Vanraj, Anupama, and Kavya, later joined by Gaurav Khanna as Anuj. As Vanraj and Kavya's relationship unfolded, Anu found solace with Anuj. Amid all this, there have been reports about a cold war going on between Rupali and Sudhanshu. Rumors of discord between them surfaced, suggesting tension behind the scenes. However, both actors have vehemently denied these claims.

In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Sudhanshu Pandey addressed the rumors, clarifying that while disagreements over scenes do occur on set, they are part of the creative process and not indicative of personal fights. He emphasized the importance of creative differences in fostering growth and dismissed rumors of a fight between him and Rupali as exaggerated.

Sudhanshu emphasized their strong off-screen bond, revealing his nickname for Rupali as Bengali, later transformed into"Banguly, a fusion of Bengali and Ganguly. Despite occasional disagreements, Sudhanshu highlighted the camaraderie and fun they share on set, highlighting their professional rapport and mutual respect.

Reacting to the same, he stated, " There's no problem at all. Actually, kai baar kya hota hai na set pe jab hum log kaam kar rahe hote hai, kai bar hum logon ke arguments ho jate hai, kisi baat ko lekar, koi scene ko lekar. Kisi se bhi ho sakte hai, mere kitne logon se hote hai. Ab kyunki mai aur Rupali hero-heroine the, toh ho sakta hai ki ye cheez kisi ne bohot jaldi catch Karli ho ki 'Are, uska-uska panga ho gaya hai.' Kabhi kisimbaat pe argument hua hoga ya koi cheez ho gayi ho, kyunki creative differences bhi bohot ho jaate hai na kai baar."

He added, "Wo toh ek normal cheez hai yaar aur agar kaam karte waqt aapke beech mei thode se bhi differences na aae, that means you aren't growing. Aap grow tabhi karenge jab aap ek-dusre se different honge aur wo jo gap aata hai beech mei, usko jab aap bharte ho tabhi toh grow karta hai insaan. Aise hi koi incident ko kisine alag director de diya but mujhe nahi lagta ismei koi wajood tha."
