Salman Khan house firing: Actor says he was sleeping when he heard gunshots; he and brother Arbaaz Khan record official statement

MUMBAI: Salman Khan is among the most admired Indian actors who enjoys a massive fan-following. The actor, in his 35 year film journey has made some of the country's most loved films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan, Hum Aapke Hai Kaun and many others. He has been in the news as two men were captured on CCTV footage firing with guns outside his Mumbai residence in Bandra.

After many arrests were made in the firing case, The Mumbai Police recorded Salman Khan's statement in the gunfire incident outside his Bandra home on Wednesday. Along with Salman, his brother Arbaaz Khan's statement was recorded at their Bandra apartment, Galaxy Apartments. According to a PTI report, a four-member crime branch team visited their home and recorded Salman's statement for more than four hours. Arbaaz's remark was recorded for more than two hours.

According to the reports, the cops asked the two about 150 questions. According to a PTI official, Salman has accepted that his life is in danger. Salman stated in his testimony to the police that he was at home on the day of the firing, April 14. He stated that he returned late the night before and was sleeping when the incident occurred. The sound of gunfire startled him up.

Arbaaz said he was at his Juhu home when the firing took place. He stated, “Earlier, someone left a threatening note which was found outside their house and Bishnoi gang members conducted recce at their Panvel farmhouse. This (firing) is the third incident, and the police should take it seriously.”

A police official said, “As part of the probe, we have recorded the statements of Salman Khan and his brother Arbaaz. They have corroborated the sequence of events that took place on the morning of April 14, when four rounds were fired outside the actor’s Bandra residence.”

Salman’s security has been beefed up and on the work front, Salman will soon begin filming for AR Murugadoss’ Sikandar opposite Rashmka Mandanna.
