MUMBAI: Ranvir Shorey made an indirect mention about his earlier relationship with actress Pooja Bhatt, who was an opponent in the previous season of Bigg Boss OTT, in a recent episode of Bigg Boss OTT 3. Ranvir talked candidly about his mother's death as well.
The actor recalled that in 2002, while he was in Ladakh filming his movie Lakshya, he received a call from home telling him that his mother was ill. He was unable to leave the set until the filming was over, though. In a similar vein, Ranvir mentioned that at that time he was also a part of "the biggest scandal" of his life involving an actress.
“During the same time, I also encountered the biggest scandal of my life with another actress. Unable to cope, my brother asked me to come to the US with him for a while. I pursued a six-month acting course in the States and borrowed money from my brother. After returning from the US, I started shooting for ‘The Great Indian Comedy Show’ in 2005. At that time, two of my long-shelved films were greenlit for release and hit theaters back-to-back within a week and my work was loved by audiences. After those films, I finally felt my life was steady as an actor and that I had arrived,” he said on the show.
Pooja Bhatt met Manish Makhija, also known as Udham Singh, and fell in love after an unpleasant breakup with Ranvir Shorey. The couple got married in 2003, however, they eventually broke up in 2014. However, in 2010, Ranvir Shorey got married to the actress Konkona Sen Sharma. In 2011 marked the birth of their son, Haroon. However, Ranvir and Konkona are currently co-parenting their kid after divorcing in 2015.
Ranvir made his acting debut with Manisha Koirala in the title role of Shashilal Nair's Ek Choti Si Love Story. He last appeared in Tiger 3, starring Salman Khan.
