BARC RATINGS

MUMBAI: The Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) has unveiled its latest weekly TRP ratings, bringing a fresh wave of surprises to the Indian television landscape.

With several shows climbing the ladder and a few witnessing a dip, the rankings this week are a clear reflection of changing viewer tastes and evolving content dynamics.

Leading the charge is the ever-popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, which has made a triumphant return to the number one position. Its consistent humour and beloved ensemble cast continue to win over audiences, proving its unmatched staying power in prime-time television.

Hot on its heels is Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, which maintains its stronghold at the second spot, followed closely by Anupamaa—another audience favourite. Udne Ki Asha also holds its ground, securing a spot in the top tier.

Meanwhile, Lakshmi Ka Safar and Mannat – Har Khushi Paane Ki have both seen a notable rise in their ratings, signalling growing interest in emotionally driven narratives.

In particular, Mannat has registered a significant spike, suggesting that its latest plot twists are resonating well with viewers.

On the flip side, Aarti Anjali Awasthi has experienced a dip in its numbers, hinting at a possible need for a narrative refresh.

In contrast, the culinary reality show Laughter Chef 2 has seen an impressive jump, reaffirming the audience's appetite for light-hearted, feel-good content.

This week’s BARC report captures an intriguing shift in audience preferences—where a blend of comedy, drama, and relatability continues to dominate.

With storylines evolving and competition heating up, the coming weeks promise even more excitement on the small screen.
