MUMBAI: Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat have a reputation for being open and honest. Soon after their sensational erotic thriller Murder was out in 2004, they started saying nasty things about one another. They were recently seen chatting with the paparazzi and running into one other at a wedding. Emraan stated he would love to collaborate with Mallika once more in an interview.

Emraan spoke about the issue saying, “We were young and stupid at that time. You go through a phase in your life when your decision making power is so limited that and you’re just so impulsive. Some mean things were said by her and some by me. But those are all bygones. We kept all of that aside. It was long back. It was very nice seeing and meeting her. She was very warm and so was I. She’s a co-actor I wish I could have worked again with.”
Emraan who bumped into Mallika at a party added, “It was very warm and cordial. I saw her after a very long time. I don’t think we had an encounter like in a long time. I had her a couple of times after the release of Murder.”
In 2004, the sensual thriller Murder directed by Anurag Basu gave Emraan and Mallika their first big hit. Their smoldering on-screen connection won many fans. But as soon as they started disparaging one another in public, ego confrontations happened. Years later, in 2014, Emraan even referred to Mallika as a "bad kisser" during season four of Koffee with Karan. Additionally, he promised to give Mallika a "dummy's guide to learn English" because at the time she was attempting to pursue a job in Hollywood.
Mallika had previously said on a show, “The funniest (fight) was with Emraan Hashmi after or during Murder. We didn’t speak and now I think it was so childish. It was after the film, I think, during promotions or something, we had a misunderstanding. It was so uncalled for and so childish on my part also. I’m no less.”
