Bad Newz actress Triptii Dimri shares her experience working in a comic caper for the first time and admits finding the comedy genre 'difficult '

MUMBAI: When Triptii Dimri featured opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's action-thriller Animal last year, she became a national crush. The actress will be ready to enter the comedy genre with the release of Bad Newz, her first film in 2024.

The actor admitted that she found working in the humorous caper to be the most challenging. The magic that Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk have worked on in the comedy movie Bad Newz will be released to the public in a few days.

The actress from Animal believes that this is one of the toughest movie genres to carry off, even though the crew is confident that the picture will make many people laugh.

Sharing her experience of working on the comic caper after being part of drama films like Bulbbul and Qala, she told the news agency, “I have always done a lot of films in the drama genre, but I feel that as an actor, it is really important to keep doing different things and keep challenging yourself. I have found comedy a little difficult since the beginning.” Dimri stated, saying that, in a way, it was really good for her.

The actress further added that “it was difficult,” but overall, it was a good learning experience. She also expressed her desire to do different roles, such as action, drama, comedy, and everything that is offered.

The Laila Majnu actress expressed her gratitude to director Anand Tiwari in the same discussion, saying that no one had ever seen her perform comedy at such a high level. “It was difficult for me, especially with Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, as they are very talented and their comic timing is very good,” she divulged.

Regarding her career, the actress has a few more films in her pipeline. She will next be seen with Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which comes out after Bad Newz. Additionally, Shazia Iqbal's Dhadak 2 with Siddhant Chaturvedi. Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is in development for Dimri.
