MUMBAI : Fahmaan Khan has revealed something startling regarding his time on the well-liked programme Ishq Mein Marjawan. Before Arjun Bijlani and Nia Sharma joined the cast, Fahmaan played CBI Officer Randhir Khurrana in the show. “Some used to say it on my face and some wouldn’t. When I was doing Ishq Mein Marjawan, the director abused me a lot (laughs),” he said as quoted by the popular news portal.

The actor recalled that he was once asked to memorise an 8-page long script in an hour. However, when he could not do so, the director abused him in front of everyone.

“I was out of my mind thinking how would I memorize all this in such a short time. After 7-8 takes, the director said, ‘kisko lekar aaya hai yaar? Line tak yaad nahi hoti aur phir 2-3 gali baki usne (Who have you brought? He cannot even memorize his lines and then he hurled 2-3 abuses at me). I went back into my room, slapped myself and decided to try it. I picked up the script and did it eventually,” he added.

In 2015, Fahmaan Khan made his screen debut in Yeh Vaada Raha, a cameo part. Then, in 2018, he had a cameo in Kundali Bhagya. However,he became well-known after the portrayal of Aryan Singh Rathore in Imlie. Fahmaan was last seen in Pyaar Ke Saat Vachan Dharampatani, directed by Ektaa Kapoor. The programme fell off the air in less than a year due to poor TRP chart performance.

At the moment, Khan could be seen in Krishna Mohini. The actor spoke secretly to the well-known news portal before the show debuted in May of this year, saying, “I always believed that I wanted to do something different which I haven’t done before. That’s the reason why I said yes to this show. I think this character has a lot of layers when it comes to how he (his character) has to manage everything, people in the family.”
