MUMBAI: In the past, Akshay Kumar was renowned for consistently producing hits. His films used to bring in a sizable sum of money at the box office. However, his films have struggled to fare well commercially and have flopped at the box office recently. The actor discussed his back-to-back failures and his box office troubles in a recent interview.

Speaking of his back-to back hits, Akshay said, “behind every film, there is a lot of blood, sweat, and passion that goes in. It is heartbreaking to see any film fail. But you have to learn to see the silver lining. Every failure teaches you the value of success and increases the hunger for it even further.”
Akshay further added, “It hurts and impacts you, but that won’t change the fate of the film.”
During that same conversation, he stated that he learns from every setback and gives the next endeavor his all. In addition, he stated how "stubborn and adamant" he is about working in Bollywood. He claimed that coming from a modest background has compelled him to persevere and continue working in a cutthroat field.

Sarfira, Kumar's most recent movie, has only made Rs 21.5 crore at the domestic box office. Since the movie's premiere two weeks ago, the numbers have been steadily declining. The film, which is a Hindi adaptation of Suriya's "Soorarai Pottru," was directed by Sudha Kongara. Regarding his work, he is now working on "Khel Khel Mein," "Kannappa," "Singham Again," "Jolly LLB 3," "Housefull 5," and "Welcome To The Jungle."
