MUMBAI : Amid her split with Nikhil Patel, Dalljiet Kaur took a dig at her ex-husband Salin Bhanot. In a recent note on Dalljiet’s Instagram photograph, a social media fan requested that the actress get in touch with Shalin during this difficult moment. In response, Dalljiet stated that he must be "too busy."

“He has not reached messaged or reached out. I don’t think he is interested to know what must have happened with his son. He must be too busy,” she wrote.
Shalin Bhanot was Dalljiet Kaur's first husband. The two fell in love when they first met on the 'Kulvaddhu' show set. 2009 marked their wedding, but they broke up in 2015 when she accused him of domestic violence. Their son Jaydon is now living with Dalljiet.
In March 2023, Dalljiet Kaur and Nikhil Patel exchanged vows. However, ten months after getting married, the couple filed for divorce early this year. In May, Nikhil confirmed to a well-known news website that he and his partner had split up, “In January this year, Dalljiet decided to leave Kenya with her son Jaydon and return to India, which ultimately led to our separation. We both realized that the foundation of our blended family wasn’t as strong as we had hoped, making it hard for Dalljiet to settle in Kenya. In March 2023, we held an Indian wedding ceremony in Mumbai. Though it held cultural significance, it was not legally binding. This ceremony was intended to reassure Dalljiet’s family about her move to Kenya.” Since then, the two have levelled several allegations against each other.
Dalljiet accused Nikhil of cheating last week on her Instagram post. “Now I know there was no such thing as faith and loyalty, love and respect, togetherness and commitment. It was all about numbers from the very beginning and loyalty was never on the table. Numbers must be high so the switch happened quickly! Now I know, when I was being told “we will fix this” there was a replacement already being fixed too,” she wrote.
The actress recently went to the Agripada police station in Mumbai and filed a formal complaint against Nikhil Patel. Sections 85 and 316(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita were the legal grounds for filing the FIR. This indicates that Dilljiet charged Nikhil with criminal breach of trust and cruelty.
