She may have found the movie on her own, but when it comes to work, she turns to her mother, television actress Shweta Tiwari. “When Palak gets a script before an audition, she comes to me asking for tips on how to go about saying the lines. She performs scenes with me and understands me," Shweta told the popular news portal.

MUMBAI : Palak Tiwari made her acting debut in Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, following her success with Bijlee Bijlee.

The Kasautii Zindagii Kay actress portrays herself as an ardent fan of her daughter's creative the output, stating, “Palak’s very hardworking. She takes her own decisions but my opinion also matters a lot to her. Sometimes, she makes five-six tapes and asks me to choose one so that she can send it ahead and I help her out. She knows that if she shows me something, main usme galti nikaalungi. And the day, I don’t point anything out, she gets very happy."

Shweta recalls an incident from Palak's shooting of Sanjay Dutt's The Virgin Tree, “She always requests her directors and casting directors to let her show me her shots so that I can point out her shortcomings. In fact, she was recently shooting for a film called The Virgin Tree. She shot a scene and everyone clapped for her. But she told the director, ‘Please sir, ek baar record karke mummy ko bhej doon main?’"

But at home, the mother-daughter duo shares a very different equation. Talking about how Palak spoils her, Shweta shares, “She gifts me a lot of branded stuff on my birthday and on Mother’s Day. She pampers me a lot! Every time she sees me carrying a regular bag, she goes, ‘Oh my god, what bag is this?’ And then the very next day, she brings me a branded tote bag."

Revealing details on Palak's spending habits, she says, “Thanks to my daughter, I don’t remember a single day when we don’t have parcels coming into our house. I’ve given her my credit cards with hotel and airline benefits. I tell her that tumko itna kharcha karna hai aur woh bahot easily kharcha kar deti hai (laughs). But I was never a spendthrift."

“Back when I was shooting round the clock, I didn’t get the chance to spend my earnings. Tab mere pati the kharcha karne ke liye (laughs). But my daughter loves splurging on luxuries. She loves owning branded bags and clothes. She doesn’t like shopping from showrooms at malls. She shops from London," says Shweta.

The actor added, “I’ve only put my money into properties, fixed deposits and other investments. My mother didn’t know anything about branded bags or parlours because she never went into one. She used to advise me to put my money into houses and buying gold. That was her thought process that got passed on to me. I’ve only made investments all my life."
