MUMBAI: The popular crime thriller Farzi has firmly established itself as the most-watched Hindi web series in Indian history. The captivating storyline and remarkable performances have drawn in fans which was created by Raj & DK and stars Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, and Bhuvan Arora. Fans eagerly await details on the much-awaited Farzi Season 2, following the excitement around the first season.

Shahid Kapoor told the popular news portal last year that a second season of the show would air. Bhuvan Arora portrayed Shahid's devoted friend Firoz in the series, recently released an important update. It was recently disclosed by Bhuvan in an interview with Digital Commentary on YouTube that the official pre-production phase for Farzi Season 2 had begun.
“Aa rahi hai, pakka aa rahi hai,” Bhuvan said, reassuring fans. “The writers’ room is on. We haven’t officially announced it yet, but I think we are doing it. Everybody is busy at the moment. Sab log apna apna kaam kar rahe hain.” His words confirm that the creative team is actively developing the storyline for the next chapter of the popular series.
Bhuvan talked about his experiences working with big names in the industry like Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, and Kay Kay Menon during the conversation.
Bhuvan complimented his co-stars, praising Shahid Kapoor as a “lovely actor” and Vijay Sethupathi as a “fantastic actor,” emphasizing their friendship on set. He even called Kay Kay Menon "fabulous" in his field of expertise, comparing himself to "orchids" and these gifted "roses" surrounding him.
The first season of Farzi, which debuted on February 10, 2023, included eight exciting episodes with important parts played by Manoj Bajpayee, Regina Cassandra, and Rashii Khanna.
Vijay Sethupathi's Special Task Force officer Michael Vedanayagam and Shahid Kapoor's disillusioned artist Sunny, who is struggling with financial inequalities, are the main characters of the series. The world of Farzi is set to deliver even more mystery, drama, and exciting twists in the upcoming second season.
