Ahead of Tumbbad Re-Release: Sohum Shah Unveils Striking New Poster, Trailer Drops Tomorrow!

MUMBAI : Released in 2018, Tumbbad is indeed one of the finest cinematic marvels that garnered heaps of praise and accolades from all across. While the film created a stir upon its release, it is all set for a grand return to theaters with its re-release on September 13, 2024.

After treating fans and audiences to a captivating poster of Tumbbad, the makers have now shared another thrilling poster, further heightening the anticipation. This new poster, set against a striking red backdrop, depicts the iconic treasure chest, a central element in the film, surrounded by a mysterious aura that symbolizes the haunting nature of the story. The tagline “Trailer Out Tomorrow” adds to the growing excitement, setting the stage for the re-release trailer that is scheduled to drop tomorrow.

Adding to the excitement, the makers shared a teaser caption that reads:

“Samay ka pahiya gol hai… jo beet gaya woh humesha phir laut ke aata hai…”

Tumbbad was a critical success, earning eight nominations at the 64th Filmfare Awards and winning three for Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, and Best Sound Design. It was also the first Indian film to premiere in the Critics’ Week section of the 75th Venice International Film Festival.

Tumbbad is directed by Rahi Anil Barve, with Anand Gandhi as the creative director and Adesh Prasad as the co-director. Written by Mitesh Shah, Prasad, Barve, and Gandhi, the film was produced by Sohum Shah, Aanand L. Rai, Mukesh Shah, and Amita Shah. Alongside Sohum Shah, the film also stars Jyoti Malshe and Anita Date-Kelkar.
