Malaika Arora’s father Anil Mehta’s heartfelt last words before his death were revealed; 'I am sick and tired'

MUMBAI: It has now been revealed that Anil Mehta, the stepfather of Malaika Arora, made his last phone call to his daughters one day after he was alleged to have committed. According to insider reports cited by the popular news portal, Mehta said, "I am sick and tired," to Malaika and Amrita over a call just hours before he passed away. At the time of publication, the report's authenticity could not be confirmed.

The father of Malaika Arora, Anil Mehta is said to have committed suicide early on Wednesday. According to sources, during Malaika's mother's police statement, Anil was known to often read the newspapers while sitting on the balcony in the morning. She told the police that, despite being divorced, they had been living together once again for the last few years.

Joyce also told the police that she went to the balcony to look for her ex-husband on Wednesday morning after spotting his slippers in the living room. She bent down and looked below when she was unable to find him there.

The building watchman was calling out for help. Additionally, Joyce told the police that Anil Mehta was not ill. It was only minor knee pain. VRS had been given to him by the Merchant Navy.

Later, during this difficult time, Malaika requested privacy from the media and well-wishers in an official statement. “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect,” the statement read.

Today, Thursday, September 12, will be the day of Anil Mehta's last rites.
