While a part of the audience find Anupamaa entertaining with the dialogues on women empowerment and even consider her as an inspiration to stand up for themselves, there are many who are bored and tired with her long dialogues and the ‘Mahatma’ syndrome. Read on to know more…
Anupamaa

MUMBAI: Star Plus show Anupamaa is one of the most loved shows on television today.

While the show starred Vanraj Shah (Sudhanshu Pandey) and Anupamaa (Rupali Ganguly) being married during the initial days, it went on to showcasing Anupamaa from being a submissive wife to an individual opinionated woman as she realised that Vanraj is cheating on her. The show took quite a leap and the story moved forward with Gaurav Khanna taking over the show as the central lead as Anuj Kapadia, Anupamaa’s college mate. The audience loved the two’s chemistry and even shipped them together as #Maan but the one thing which remained constant in the show is the speeches given by Anupamaa.

While a part of the audience considered it as women empowerment and even considered her as an inspiration to stand up for themselves, there were many who eventually got bored and tired with her long dialogues.

Well,  the current track seems to be losing traction as Sudhanshu has quit the show and now Madalsa Sharma, in the role of Kavya has also marked her exit.

While their exit remains subject to controversy and speculation, what people are not enjoying currently is Anupamaa moving back to Asha Bhavan.

Melissa Smith shares, “Anupamaa has no self respect. The ‘Mahatma’ syndrome is just too high now. Why would she shift to Asha Bhawan!”

Sunita Parmar opines, “Does Anupamaa take herself seriously? At one point she talks about self respect and on the other hand her actions don’t match her words.”

Kusum Wagle avers, “While many may find it entertaining I find it pretty ridiculous with Anupamaa’s big dialogues, the 90’s songs and dance between a 55+ aged couple and the constant fighting and shouting.”

Mansi Mehta says, “Anupamaa was entertaining but with Sudhanshu leaving the show, I do not feel like watching it! He was the best part of Anupamaa.”

Krutika Thakkar mentions, “I find the show pretty interesting and how the makers are rolling out the show even after pivotal characters marking its exit.” (Also Read: Anupamaa: Sudhanshu Pandey’s sarcastic and witty dialogues and performance as Vanraj Shah wins hearts of fans! - AUDIENCE VERDICT)
